#MeWeMoldova - empowering young leaders to fight corruption with effective storytelling

Young leaders and aspiring young leaders, 18 years and up, who either already have an idea for community change, or are looking to amplify their skills to drive positive change in their communities. All are encouraged to apply for the #MeWeMoldova — empowering young leaders to fight corruption with effective storytelling, regardless of media skills or lack of previous community engagement.

“Words are events, they do things, change things,” writes Ursula K. Le Guin.

Through the 2.5 day #MeWeMoldova session, youth leaders and organizations will learn about the science of how communication impacts our individual biology, and how effective storytelling can help shape community change. Participants will engage in interactive storytelling/media experiences to support their changemaker journeys and passions, starting with the individual story, and connecting it to the collective story.

The organizers cover all the costs for travel, food and accommodation for all the participants for the 2.5 day #MeWeMoldova session.
Stories, and how we communicate with ourselves and others, impacts our emotions, physical states, our choices, and our relationship with the world around us. Our words have power, and by exercising our inner communications, we can more likely communicate ideas and messages to support positive change in our own communities.

Upon completing the session, selected finalists will launch their own 1 month digital campaign for changemaking, highlighting ideas and messages. Youth teams and organizations will receive virtual technical feedback on their ideas/campaigns, and a select number of changemaker stories/campaigns will be featured nationally and globally.

Participants will get to connect with other changemakers in their community, and explore skills associated with basic media literacy (writing, video blogging, strategic communications), brain science, and community-building, and changemaking (empathy, leadership, creative collaboration, and creative problem solving).

Theme: The session’s theme is geared towards supporting stories, campaigns, messages/ideas related to combating corruption in education, and promoting transparency in education.
