America Days - call for volunteers

Dear alumni,

The U.S. Embassy is looking for volunteers available and willing to help the Embassy with the info-point to support organize communication with visitors and distribute hand-outs during the America Days program happening September 6-8, and September 13-15 from 15:00 to 21:30. The program purpose is to raise the awareness of the impact U.S. Embassy projects have had across Moldovan society in areas such as education, women’s empowerment, police reform, etc. The staples of the event will be American food, music, film, and American sports elements.

If you want to register as volunteer please send to cusniram@state.gov by 13:00 Wednesday, August 21 the following: 1) Full Name with e-mail 2) The city you want to volunteer

Please note that we do not cover transportation costs for volunteers. Volunteers should be alumni of an US exchange program. Registered volunteers will be contacted later by my colleagues and will be provided more detailed information so please do not contact me to request more information at this point. Now, we only need you to register! Hurry up, seats are limited!

15:30 – 16:30 Invitation of the public — Moderator, video spot, background music.

16:30 – 16:40 Official inauguration of America Day. Speeches by Ambassador Hogan

and local official (TBC)

16:00 – 19:00 Communication and informational sessions in tents provided by implementer.

Souvenirs distribution – mini baseballs, mini footballs, etc.

16:10 – 19:00 Activities in Sports Zone

18.00 – 19.30 Music Performance by an American band

19:30 – 21.30 Film Screening
